Sales
You were drawn to being in Sales because you enjoy interacting with the public, want to work in a fast-paced environment, and have a desire to help fulfill people’s needs. Your duties will include:
- Participating in daily training and practice to develop your skills
- Greeting guests and building a relationship with them through small talk and conversation skills
- Discovering their needs by asking questions and selecting an array of options that will fulfill those
- Demonstrating and explaining all features and benefits of both products and services to guests
- Confidently closing and finalizing the sale, utilizing trained closing techniques and attention to detail through all paperwork processes
- Remaining in contact with all guests via call, text, and email, including all potential, current, and previous customers
- Ensuring a world class customer service experience when the guest is inside or outside of our building

Required Skills and Abilities:
- Effective and professional communication; both written and verbal
- Must be able stand and walk for extended periods of time while leading guests through the store
- Be able to create a custom room display for guests by moving small accent and furniture items, up to 25 pounds
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Basic computer skills and a willingness to learn multiple technical systems

Retail Office/Admin
Retail Office/Admin team members are essential members of our extended Highland River organization assisting our store, sales, customer service and warehouse teams with all clerical office and data entry tasks. Our Retail Office/Admin team members ensure seamless administration of the necessary steps in the post sales process involving our customers, sales team members and distribution center staff. This essential role requires dedicated team members who enjoy working with people and specialize in being efficient. The position requires someone who can pay attention to critical details while working in a fast-paced, multi-task filled, retail work environment.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Provide exceptional assistance to our retail store guests
- Manage inbound and outbound calls and emails in a timely manner
- Keep records of conversations in our call center database in a comprehensible way
- Identify customers’ needs, clarify information, research issues and provide solutions and/or alternatives
- Build sustainable relationships and engage customers by going the extra mile
- Collaborate with other departments to improve customer service & satisfaction, support team members, and managers
- Complete regular, daily scheduled reports
- Maintain office and sales records as needed

Furniture Repair
Our Customer Care Furniture Repair Team consists of inside furniture repair technicians and in-home repair technicians. This team is responsible for repairing and refinishing furniture at the warehouse/distribution center and at customer homes, by appointment. This is a great job for those that enjoy people and like hands-on work.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Assess furniture damage and determine if furniture is repairable
- Repair damaged furniture to new condition in allotted time frame
- Record completed repairs, any further repairs needed and/or parts that need ordered

Store Support
This job entails working with Visual Design and Merchandising teams to enhance the look and beautification of our retail stores.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Prepping, building and assembling furniture

This position requires a creative and driven person to keep our store clean and looking great while also assisting our Visual Merchandiser with design duties to increase sales and provide a completely unique and impossible-to-copy in-store experience for our customers.

Housekeeping / Cleaning / Environmental Services
The ideal candidate must be detail oriented, energetic and creative. This person will be taking over the in-store Environmental Services / Housekeeping and Cleaning position while also helping with store decorating.
Duties entail, but are not limited to:
- General store cleanliness and upkeep
- Assisting the Interior Decorator / Visual Merchandiser
- Accessorizing and decorating the store.
Prior experience in Housekeeping, Environmental Services, Office Cleaning and Visual Merchandising is a plus but not mandatory as we have a full paid training program.
This position is a part-time, to possible full-time, position with flexible hours and would be great for anyone who is organized and loves cleaning, being creative and dabbling in Interior Decorating.
